Its the best time of year! Twinkle lights, family gatherings and holiday cheer… Christmas time is here! Nothing gets me in the spirit like a Christmas tree. I am delighted to join Balsam Hill in their 12 Bloggers of Christmas series that is running through Wednesday. In it, we will share with you all the deets on our Christmas trees. Its no secret that I love Christmas! I love to decorate and make the entire home festive. The wonder of it brings a unique childlike cheer that seems to only come around once a year. Don’t get me wrong, we have joy all year long, but there’s something extra special during the holiday season. 15 years ago on Christmas Day, I told Jesus that I wanted to give myself to Him for His birthday. That was the day I surrendered my life to Him and its never been the same. For that reason, I like to go all out in my decorating. Its a joyous time of remembrance and a wonderful unfolding of new memories. This year, I am feeling extra fancy with my Brewer Spruce Artificial Tree that my friends at Balsam Hill sent me. From the moment I opened the box, I was amazed. The quality and packaging care is like none other.
The question of the season is, “Is that thing real?” I cannot tell you how many times I have had to answer that in just a few weeks. Why yes, yes it is. Just kidding! Although, I do love how real it looks. I also love how easy it was to assemble! The easy plug system incorporates light connections in the trunk so all you have to do is connect the 3 parts and its done! No worrying about finding the right chords to plug into one another. They also included gloves (yay for saving your hands) and an off season storage bag. I especially like the convenience of a foot pedal to turn on and off the lights. I have to say, my absolute favorite thing about the Brewer Spruce Artificial Tree is the natural characteristics of its drooping branches. The needle tips fan in different directions and mimic the color and texture of a real evergreen tree. That, my friends, is why I have had to answer that question so many times!
I literally felt like a kid on Christmas day with every ornament I unboxed and put on my tree. The detail and craftsmanship amazed me. Here are some links to my favorites.
On the road ornaments. These remind me of Kelbee. She loves vintage campers and trucks!
Farmhouse ornaments. My husband is fond of these. They make us feel grownup and fancy.
Farmhouse reindeer set. Reminds me of my country upbringing, but with a fancier flare.
Farmhouse mixed materials set. These have all the farmhouse feels. I especially love the different textures and fabrics.
Jute pinecone picks. Totally brought character and the finishing touch!
Country Christmas garland. I decided to use this on my fireplace mantel to match the tree. It gave it the simple farmhouse touch I was looking for.
Wooden barrel collar. The anchor of this farmhouse Christmas beauty!

I found your blog by reading the article about your beautiful home in Country Cottage Christmas. I absolutely love your home, the renovations you’ve done on it are gorgeous and I love that you repurposed items during your reno such as the kitchen uppers. Your blog will definitely be inspiration for me when I have a house of my own someday!
Amazing! This blog looks exactly like my old one! It’s on a completely different subject but it has pretty much the same layout and design. Wonderful choice of colors!
