One thing I have really had to practice this week is giving thanks in everything. 1 Thess. 5:18 says that is the will of God for our lives.
If we are ever asking what God is doing and what His will is for our season, we can be assured it can be found in our thanksgiving.
Giving thanks in everything- the good and the bad- will always shift my prospective to the right way of thinking.
I may be having a hard time or a bad day and I will verbally give thanks. I begin to thank Him for previous blessings and know that if He did it then He will do it now. If He was faithful then, He will be faithful now.
Why? Because He does not change. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Our economy may change, our world may change, but Jesus remains the same.
Last week we talked about when anxiety tries to come upon us to shift our minds back to the Lord and He will keep us in perfect peace. (Isaiah 26:3)
What is one way to do that? BY GIVING THANKS.
In everything, we give thanks.
We will bless the Lord at ALL TIMES and His praise will continually be in our mouths. (Psalm 34:1)
When you begin to remember and rejoice on the blessings of the Lord, you cant help but come into proper perspective again.
(Psalm 77:11) I will remember the works of the Lord; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.
We must be devoted to prayer like never before and be watchful to see how God is moving in this season, giving thanks for the many blessings He continues to bestow upon us.
(Col 4:2) Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.

My family just came out of a season that was a rough one but I never gave up and never wavered . God had my family then and he has my family now . I’m standing on all the promises and the promises to come one day at a time.
Hi Tracey! Those seasons are the ones that define us. I love that you stood on your faith and has allowed God to grow you. He is so faithful!
Thanks Charlotte, I too try to be thankful in all situations. Sometimes it can be come very overwhelming with caring for my 88 year old bedridden mother, but then I’m thankful she is still with us and my children are helping us help her. Oh , well Ithank you , your cheerfulness and demeanor is very uplifting. Also do your Wednesday night talk with your husband absolutely uplifting and so what I’ve been feeling, be still , God is !

Thank you for sharing Charlotte this inspirational message, it is so appreciated. We so often remind ourselves to have an attitude of gratitude” but we leave God out of it entirely. He alone is worthy of our thanks for all he has done, just as you wrote. What He has done in the past and continues to do today and tomorrow, as He does not change. He is good, all the time, and is working in the midst of it all, even when we don’t see it or feel it.
We have all the blessings and riches from our God given through the gift of our King Jesus!
Love your IG presence and am praying a blessing over you and your family today!
Thanks Brenda! This is the sweetest message! Thank you for it and thank you for following along.
Many how much do I take for granted. During difficult times God remains the same. Thank you for this Charlotte!
With what’s going around the world around us, it’s scary. But just as God remains to be the same; i find peace in Him.
I was fearful, still am if I’ll admit; I’m human. My husband and I purchased our first home at the age of 25 and we have a two year old and a 9 month so the income at this time is essential; but he provides and always has. So I rest on Our Heavenly Father to provide, he takes and gives. My our faith be as big as a mustard seed.
Yes Jocelyn, I understand. Its a trying season for sure, but we will get through it. God will make a way where there seems to be no way. What is impossible with man is possible with God!
