I can’t believe this time last year we were in the thick of our remodel. When we first found this fixer upper, my husband had his doubts. It had been abandoned for 20 years and was literally falling apart. I saw potential from the moment I looked at it. The original beadboard and hardwood floors were in excellent condition. I knew it only required some love and a lot of work to give it life again.
This was the biggest transformation! We completely gutted and remodeled this space. We added a double window where the single window was above the sink. It made the biggest difference in letting light in. We kept the original cabinets and fixed them where needed. We also changed the location of the fridge to give us additional counter space. I knew from the moment I saw the kitchen what type of sink I wanted. I found the perfect reversible farmhouse sink from Vintage Tub & Bath. The gooseneck faucet that I got to go with it looks perfectly antique to match the age of our home. Here are some before and afters!
Talk about a room that needed some love! The floor literally fell through during the demo. It was at this point that many of you thought it was a money pit. I love the way it turned out. This was a full bath that we took half of it and created a pantry in our kitchen. The other half was made into a powder room for us to have a bathroom downstairs. I chose an antique looking wall mount utility sink that would also look good in a laundry room or mudroom. We paired it with the wall mounted metal cross handles faucet. Again, it goes perfect with the age of our home!
Talk about yucky! This bathroom had carpet that was stained and smelly in it! We won’t even talk about the feculence that was found in the bathtub. It for sure needed a total makeover as well. I knew without a doubt that I wanted a clawfoot tub to be the center of this makeover. I found the perfect double ended cast iron tub to fit the space. It is a total show stopper! I paired it with a beautiful freestanding tub faucet that makes you feel like you stepped back in time. This became my favorite part of the house because of this beautiful tub and faucet! Choose your clawfoot tub here!
There you have it, friends. Some of my favorite spaces in our fixer upper became possible because Vintage Tub & Bath made my dreams come true!
Thank you Vintage Tub & Bath for sponsoring this post.
Let's be real... life can be complicated. How about we do it together and have fun along the way as we find the happy in our every day?!
I ♥️How you have mixed all of your designs, renovating ideas etc with your beautiful family. I have followed you way before you were PG and watched anxiously for Amelia’s birth. Now watching her grow. Plus, one of the most powerful things is your faith in serving Jesus. Beautiful family. Keepa going girl 💋
I Iove this article! Thank you for giving us insight to the fixer up!
