On Friday, September 15, 2023 at sundown we entered a new year on God’s calendar, Rosh Hashanah, which means “the head of the year.” Before entering every new year, it’s important to lean into God to see what He is speaking. Below are the Hebrew meanings of each number making up the year 5784. Ancient Hebrew words were formed by adding pictures together. That is what you will see below.
5- Hei “Behold” “to reveal” (word pic- hands raised)
7- Zayin “weapon” “to cut off” “to cut” (word pic- sword, ax)
8- Chet “private, to separate” (word pic- fence, inner room)
4- Dalet “pathway, to enter” (word pic- door)
Beholding God in surrendered worship (hands raised) will be the weapon that cuts back the path leading us through the gate, into the inner room with God, where the doors of destiny open before us.
While thinking on the meaning of numbers 5784, I saw myself in an overgrown wooded area with an ax trying, in my own strength, to cut back the briars. I was trying to make a path to get to the door of the Lord in my secret place with Him. When I lifted my hands to worship, the way was supernaturally cleared that led me to the gate of His glory. Within it was a garden of love that held the door of destiny, which led to another door and so on.
We need to always remember, God has not forgotten us, but we at times have forgotten Him. We go about our day without a recognition of who He is in our life and what He desires to do for us. We were never meant to walk alone. Although, sometimes we may be without others. At times, we may lack a support system, but we have God, His Spirit and His Word readily available to be all that we need and lack in life. I know at times it is lonely, but those are times to draw near to Him. He is willing and waiting to meet our every need.
Things are going to change this year. There’s a new anointing we will walk in that will supersede anything in the past. Because we have returned to our First Love, we will walk through many doors. The doors of destiny are discovered in the secret place. When we are fenced in with God’s Presence, we’re given access to the door before us.
Our individual garden is behind the gate. The Lord has been tending to it while we were gone. He knew we would make our way back. He watched as the briars and thickets continued to grow on the pathway because of the scarceness of our travel. The path became overgrown with the cares of this world, the fear of man and the weakness of our flesh. We’ve tried in our own strength to cut back the briar with the sword of our might. It was not enough. God’s strength is made perfect in weakness. Because we worshipped Him even in our weakness and came before Him in humility, the sword of His Spirit cut back and pierced through, clearing the path before us.
Now, here we are, His beloved. We have come into the gate and stand before the door of destiny yet again. It is the key of David that gives us access. This door leads to more doors that we will continue to walk through as we are faithful to enter each in its season. The Door of More than Enough is before us. El Shaddai walks through it with us. The All Sufficient One. The God who is more than enough.
Let's be real... life can be complicated. How about we do it together and have fun along the way as we find the happy in our every day?!
Thank you so very much for sharing this. Been in this same season and just now returning a few months ago. God showed me a picture of me with two female cousins, dressed as warriors, and standing beside the Lion of Judah. Not even trying to interpret; will see what God does.
