Its that time of year again! We are all dreaming about cooler weather, colored trees and pumpkin spice everything. If you are anything like me, you have already started pulling out that Fall decor. If you aren’t quite ready to go full force into the Fall decor, here are some transitional things you can do.
Amber bottles are perfect for Autumn. They instantly bring warmth and color without being too overbearing. You can style them alone or with stems. I like to utilize branches from a tree in our backyard. In fact, after drying out, the leaves turned into the perfect deep green color. You can find amber bottles at thrift stores, yard sales or antique stores. Think about different shapes and sizes when you group them together. Adding more wood tones to a space will also bring instant coziness and warmth, which is the definition of Fall to me!
Apples are perfect this time of year. Add them to a wood bowl in your kitchen or even in your tablescape for the perfect Fall color that is appropriate even before the season begins. If you are more of a neutral girl, pears are great to add in your decor. They “pair” well with greenery for that natural cozy look.
Cotton is great to use as you are transitioning into Fall. You can add cotton stems to those amber bottles or cotton wreaths to your door or windows. Another option would be to stick some throughout your bookshelves or in a dough bowl or basket.
Fall is all about the cozy feels! Adding thicker throw blankets or warmer colored pillows can instantly bring cozy to another level. I have recently learned the value in purchasing pillow covers. This makes it much easier to change them out without breaking the bank, while also making storage much easier. Just use the same inserts while changing the pillow cover according to the season!
